Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the conduct rules that keep VanTele Mobility safe, lawful and fair for everyone. It applies to all Users.
1. Scope
This policy applies to every User of the Platform and forms part of the Terms of Service. Breaching it may lead to warnings, suspension or permanent loss of access, and may be reported to the authorities where unlawful.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate any crime;
- Harass, threaten, abuse, discriminate against or endanger any Driver, Passenger, staff member or third party;
- Use the service while impersonating someone else or providing false identity or document information;
- Transport or send prohibited items (see the Parcel Delivery Terms);
- Carry more passengers than is safe or lawful, or pressure a Driver to break road-traffic laws;
- Damage, soil or tamper with a Driver's vehicle;
- Engage in fraud, including fake bookings, payment fraud, manipulating fares, ratings or promotions;
- Collect, store or misuse another User's personal data;
- Post unlawful, defamatory, hateful, obscene or misleading Content, including in ratings and reviews.
3. Technical Misuse
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, accounts or systems;
- Do not introduce malware, scrape data at scale, or interfere with the Platform's operation or security;
- Do not reverse-engineer, copy or build a competing service from the Platform except as the law allows;
- Do not use bots, automated scripts or fake GPS/location-spoofing tools.
4. Safety First
All Users must prioritise safety, obey the law, and follow reasonable instructions intended to keep people safe. Drivers must not drive while impaired or fatigued; Passengers must not distract or endanger a Driver.
5. Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness a breach of this policy, report it to info@vantele.com.ng or through in-app support. In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches, review relevant records, and take action including warnings, removal of Content, suspension, deactivation or reporting to authorities. We will act reasonably and proportionately.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time with notice through the Platform. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
